The Monument Crisis Center in Concord, California

The Monument Crisis Center is a community-based non-profit family resource center for Central and East Contra Costa County. Located in Concord, the Center offers nutritious food, quality resources and referrals to low-income individuals and families in order to help them become stable and secure in our community.

Our Global Outreach Programs and Schools

1. La Colmenita

(The Little Beehive) a musical troupe for the Children in Havana.

Created in 1990, La Colmenita began as a Havana community theater project, to serve children of all different abilities, during one of Cuba’s most economically desperate times. Since then, it has charmed audiences in more than 25 countries with its message of joy, peace and understanding served up with humor and music.

2. Clave de Sol

The 200 piece Children's Guitar Orchestra of Havana. Founded by sisters Nuria and Yamilé García in 2009, Clave de Sol is a school program in Havana that aims to help children develop their instrumental abilities through its three guiding principles: inclusion, instruction, and community. It provides a safe haven for local youth that fosters both a sense of self-esteem and an appreciation for the history and culture of Cuba.

3. The Jerusalem Youth Chorus (JYC)

Empowering youth from East and West Jerusalem. The Jerusalem Youth Chorus: Palestinians and Israelis raising our voices to push back against the violence surrounding us—to reject war, occupation, and terror, and instead sing out for peace, justice, inclusion, and equality. We know that the reason war continues is because people think there is no alternative. We are the alternative.

4. Children Of Faith Missions

Children of Faith Missions provides a safe home and education for more than 100 of the poorest children of Visakhapatnam, India. Not just an ordinary Children’s Home for vulnerable children, with our donors’ help, we provide them with opportunities for quality education (including Music) and success that allows them to thrive.
